Privacy and Policy

Popsley · popsley.com Last updated: June 6, 2026

We’ll keep this simple

We know nobody enjoys reading privacy policies. So we wrote this one the way we’d want it explained to us — clearly, honestly, and without legal jargon. If you have questions after reading it, email us at hello@popsley.com.

Who we are

Popsley is a family care coordination app built to help adult children manage a parent’s health — together. We’re based at popsley.com and operated by M. Atif, Founder & CEO.

What information we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your country
  • Your caregiving situation (number of siblings, biggest challenge, urgency level)
  • Whether you’d like to join our beta test
  • Your phone/WhatsApp number (if you provide it)

When you contact us, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and the message you send us

Automatically, when you visit popsley.com, we may collect:

  • Your browser type and device type
  • The pages you visit and how long you spend on them
  • Your general location (country/city level — not your exact address)
  • How you found our website (e.g. a Google search, a social media link)

We collect this automatically through standard tools like Google Analytics and Firebase. We do not track you across other websites.

What we do NOT collect

We want to be explicit about this:

  • We do not collect any medical information about you or your parent
  • We do not collect your parent’s health records
  • We do not sell your data to anyone — ever
  • We do not share your data with advertisers
  • We do not collect data from children under 13

Why we collect your information

We use your information for three reasons only:

  1. To keep you updated about Popsley — when we launch, when beta access opens, and important product news. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
  2. To understand who needs Popsley most — your caregiving situation helps us build the right features in the right order. We look at this data as a group, not individually.
  3. To respond to your messages — if you contact us, we use your details to reply to you.

That’s it. We don’t use your information for anything else.

Who we share your information with

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run Popsley. These services process your data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it:

  • Firebase (Google) — stores your waitlist and contact form submissions securely
  • Google Analytics — helps us understand how people use our website
  • Email service provider — sends you updates about Popsley (we will update this when our email tool is confirmed)

None of these companies are allowed to use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

We may disclose your information if required by law — for example, in response to a valid court order. We will notify you if this happens, unless we are legally prohibited from doing so.

Your rights under US law

Depending on the state you live in, you have specific rights over your personal data.

If you live in California (CCPA):

  • You have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you
  • You have the right to request that we delete your information
  • You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we don’t sell it, but you still have this right)
  • We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights

If you live in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Texas: Similar data rights apply under your state’s privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data.

Everyone:

  • You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email
  • You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@popsley.com
  • You can ask us what data we hold about you

We will respond to any data request within 30 days.

How we protect your information

Your data is stored in Firebase, which uses industry-standard encryption and security practices. We use HTTPS on all pages of popsley.com. We limit access to your data to only the people who need it to operate Popsley.

No system is 100% secure. If a data breach ever occurs that affects you, we will notify you promptly and take immediate steps to address it.

Children’s privacy

Popsley is designed for adults caring for aging parents. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted information to us, please contact us at hello@popsley.com and we will delete it immediately.

Cookies

We use cookies to help our website function properly and to understand how visitors use it. These include:

  • Essential cookies — required for the website to work
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand which pages are most useful (via Google Analytics)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some parts of the site may not function correctly if you do.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.
